For the Weightlifters

My brother asked me to make a onesie for his friend at work who is expecting. Can you guess what he does for fun?

A Silhouette

When you make your own kids' clothes you basically get to do whatever you want! I have always loved this picture of Sophia that was done by Marissa Noe Photography so I decided to see if I could make her a super-customized shirt. It doesn't get more personal than that!

Neat

When I first started working with felt I saw that somebody could take a drawing by child and turn it into a t-shirt. I thought that was such a great idea! What a unique and fun way to display the imagination of our kids! Brennen is my super-talented nephew who just turned six. At a birthday party we sat and drew monsters and robots. I kept one to see if I could make it into a shirt for him like the ones I had seen. This is my first attempt, but thanks to Brennen's talent, it turned out pretty cute.

It was a little challenging to re-create his carefree lines and scribbles, but it was just so fun to do. If you think you would like something like this, just email me a copy of a drawing and I will let you know if I can do it. It would be a fun idea for a birthday shirt or even for a holiday!

Just For the Fun of it

I have been doing so much sewing on my machine lately I had to take a break and hand sew with felt to balance it out. I don't want to get rusty.

A Huge Compliment. Yay!

I made a onesie for my Mother-In-Law that she was going to give as a gift for a baby shower and this is what she said:

"Well, Everyone loved your whale of a onsie at the shower. It was the ONLY gift that was passed around."

How exciting!!!! Wow! That just makes me so happy. :)

A Few More Things

I have been so busy making things for other people, I decided to take a little time and make something for Sophia and David. I noticed that David really likes to chew on the nylon straps of shopping carts and high chairs (very gross) so I made this little lovey for him.

Sophia is a little girly girl and loves her blankets and pillows, so she got this nice pillow. I put the appliques on a while ago, but finally sewed it all together for her.
